You know the drill, we’re coming to the end of the year which means, inevitably, it’s time for a review. It’s been a great year, here at kununu, and what makes it even better is that we’ve managed to use all of the reviews and data you’ve given us to help so many jobseekers find the best employers for them. And now, drumroll please…. Here are our top 15 employers of the year! This is truly the highest honor an employer can receive from us as it means that these companies really excelled in 2019, bringing in amazing kununu ratings and consistently scoring highly across the board. Every single employer on this list has a lot to be proud of, and you, as a jobseeker should totally apply to any one of them. 

1. Ultimate Software

 Ultimate Software, prides itself on putting people first – always. Ultimate Software was founded in 1990. Today, it has its headquarters in Weston, South Florida and has offices around the world. Ultimate develops ground-breaking software solutions that help people fulfill their potential at work. One example is their UltiPro®, a global, AI-powered, cloud-based human capital management (HCM) solution that aims to improve the employee experience at all levels of an organization. 

So, given what they do, they should know best how to treat their own employees, right?! AARP is America’s largest nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to empowering people to choose how they live as they age. The goal of AARP is to help their nearly 38 million members and their families “turn their goals and dreams into real possibilities, strengthen communities and fight for the issues that matter most.” Since this company is so focused on ensuring that their members have access to healthcare, financial security and personal fulfillment, they also offer all of these benefits to their employees. They offer everyone the opportunity to select the benefits that suit you (and your family) best including- medical, dental, vision, life insurance, flexible spending account, and legal services.

It’s no wonder then that they’ve been awarded a kununu score of 4.77 and a recommendation rate of 97%! Employees say that AARP is a “good social mission organization with resources to implement plans” and that they offer an “excellent total compensation/benefits package.” In the eyes of one employee “this is a great organization to work for, there’s room to grow, benefits are excellent, and overall culture is pleasant.” So, if you’re interested in advocating for the 50+ and working for a non-profit, this could be the place for you! 

3. Florida Medical Clinic 

Florida Medical Clinic actually consists of 350 providers that cover the Tampa Bay region. Their motto is “your life is our specialty” and Florida Medical Clinic boasts a team of compassionate, experienced physicians who specialize in everything from family practice and internal medicine services to cardiology, gastroenterology, sports medicine, plastic surgery, and more, all within one integrated network. 

As they pride themselves on taking such good care of their patients, they also extend this care to their employees too! Ranking third on our list, Florida Medical Clinic has an impressive kununu score of 4.69 and some great reviews on our site. One employee says “I love the people I work with, my job is challenging and I learn new things everyday.” Another says, that it’s a “great company with great benefits, flexible scheduling and great coworkers.” It definitely sounds like a “great Company to work for,” so what are you waiting for?

4. Expedia Group

As one of the world’s biggest travel platforms, Expedia Group has an impressive brand portfolio including hotels.com, trivago and Expedia. They’re on a mission to make travel more accessible and make people’s lives better and this starts with their employees!

Here at kununu, employees have given their employer a score of 4.57 and it’s easy to see why when they speak so highly of their employer saying “Expedia is a wonderful company to work for with incredible benefits, I don’t know of any company with better benefits!” According to employees, “Health and wellness is important” here and they “have a wonderful holiday party.” 

Another employee also says: “The company gives me and the team a pleasant climate and a flexible and recreational space to work in addition to food in variety, fruit juices and breakfast at my choice.” The company is also rated as very diverse on kununu and focuses on inclusion and culture and one employee writes “I love working for Expedia. This North Carolina-based home security and alarm systems provider is ADT’s oldest, largest and most respected authorized dealer and has a network of over 900 employees across 5 locations nationwide. 

And that’s not all, Safe Streets USA has a kununu score of 4.55 and a recommendation rate of 92% and it’s ranked highly across the board with 5/5 scores given for Gender Equality, Inclusivity, Work Environment and Freedom to Work Independently. It also has a Support from Management score of 4.65 and ranked on our list of most supportive companies as a result. 

Employees say that Safe Streets USAsupports handicapped employees and strives for absolute gender equality.” They also say that “SafeStreets USA has great work ethic and support that permeates from the ground up,” has “great opportunities,” a “desirable company culture” and is a “great place to work.” If you’re excited about home security and working somewhere that offers you support from management, this is the place for you! 

6. RCG Global Services

RCG Global Services is based in New Jersey and has offices throughout the U.S. It’s a global provider of “digital solutions across mobile, web, cloud, and legacy platforms, with a focus on actionable data and analytics.” They enable their clients from a range of markets realize their digital ambitions to achieve measurable business outcomes. As a company that is heavily driven by its technology innovation, you might think that it would be solely male-dominated, but RCG Global Services actually has a very strong gender equality rating from it’s current and former employees, as well as high scores for diversity, teamwork and company culture, proving that it’s a very supportive employer for all employees.

On kununu, employees have awarded this employer a score of 4.47 and a recommendation rate of 96%! 7. HeartPlace

Founded almost 50 years ago, HeartPlace is the oldest and largest cardiovascular group in North Texas.
