7-Eleven, announced last week that it was adding 20,000 jobs to meet increased demand at its convenience stores. Major chains such as Kroger, Meijer, and Safeway are hiring in-store shelf stockers and delivery staff along with regional chains such as Raley’s too. Grocery delivery service Instacart announced plans to bring on an additional 300,000 full-service shoppers over the next three months.

The fast food chains that are open are in need of more and more staff to keep deliveries going out to everyone stuck at home. Pizza Hut, Domino’s and Papa Johns have all announced they are hiring drivers as the demand for delivery rises.

Because the majority of people have been asked to stay at home, the demand for deliveries has gone through the roof, leaving shipping and delivery companies in need of drivers, warehouse managers and logistics managers.
Amazon plans to hire a whopping 100,000 full and part-time positions across the U.S. in fulfillment centers and delivery networks. They will increase pay by $2/hour for employees and partners who are in fulfillment centers, transportation operations, stores or those making deliveries.
